A guy in need of help for invitations

Hey forum! I am the fiance in charge of working getting the invitations done for our wedding. My bride is gutsy! I am thinking of doing a doing an invite with a sunset picture with our names in the sand with the wedding date surrounded by a heart that our photographer already took in Ixtapa. This idea isn't original but I liked it. I am looking to see if anybody knows a great love quote that has to do with sunsets. I am open for any suggestions on making the invitations unique. Also we don't feel the need for the STD cards. Is that a bad idea? Thanks for any help!

I can't be of much help with the quote part (sorry!) but as for the STD cards, we didn't bother with them.

Don't know of quotes either, but I bet if you search on the internet you will find some. Good luck!!

We also didn't do STD's, I wouldn't worry about it.

 

I also suggest the internet for quotes - although you might have better luck finding a nice Love quote rather than a sunset one - sunsets tend to have more to do with endings rather than beginnings.

Here is a link to sunset wedding poems/quotes :SUNSET POEMS Might be too cheesy for you, not sure. There are lots of great ideas on invites online if you google wedding invitations. It will give you ideas on cardstock, style and size, and colours. Usually the invitations should be the same colours as what you have chosen for your wedding colours too....if you've figured that out :-)

We didnt' do formal save the dates. Just sent out an Evite (likely tacky) with a link to our website which has all the info to get people started. That way we didn't feel as rushed to get invites out so quickly in case the resort/airfare ran out of space.
