Gran Bahia Principe Jamaica

Hey ladies,

So I stumbled upon this thread and was reading through. This resort seems like it has a lot going for it and the WC is super helpful. I am wondering if anyone could share what is exactly included in the free wedding package they offer? I've only been able to find one with prices, and I am intrigued to know what is available in terms of upgrades with the free wedding package. ANY help would be greatly appreciated... I'm having the hardest time deciding where I want to have my wedding!

Has anyone looked into how much a day pass costs?  If it is reasonable then could we have an outside photographer be a 'guest' at our wedding? and invite him/her to the reception afterwards so we wouldn't be lying?? I really want to find a way around paying such a huge outside vender fee
I suggested that to a photographer and he said that wouldn't work since all the photographers are pretty well known by the resorts. Not to mention the fancy camera they have. I even mentioned that my family is Jamaican so it wouldn't be surprising to have Jamaicans that live in Jamaica at our wedding. No such luck! I've decided to go with Chris Lee for our wedding them I'm meeting with a local photographer the day after our wedding to do a TTD shoot in locations away from the resort.

Yes I tired this one too.  I too was told by different Jamaican photographers that most of them are known and recognized at the GBPJ.

I have also decided to go with Chris Lee I have heard some good things about him, and there will also be at least three people there with good DSL cameras and my maid of honor is an armature photographers so she should be able to get some good pics after the ceremony :)    No plans to do a TTD as of yet.

I would get your travel agent to contact them, sometimes they are faster to talk to them.   They are super busy there and can take a couple of weeks to reply to emails.

The packages we were considering is ; Unforgettable package $990 Piscis Rental -$2500 Alcohol : $46 per person (4hrs) Do anyone know how much a deposit would be? Is there anything else I should be aware of for cost? I'm a bride on a budget Looking forward to your responses :D Nicole

Hi Ladies,

My Fiancée and I are planning to get married at GBP November 2014. I have a question and I was wondering if someone could please help me out. I am wondering how much do I pay for a deposit. Every time I email the wedding coordinator, she donâ€t answer my question she just says 25%.....25% of what???

Iâ€m thinking about have the following; the Unforgettable package @ $990, and the Pieces Rental @ $2500. Is my 25% Deposit $872.50?? I have no idea how many people are coming as of yet, 29 have verbally confirmed.

Thank you,

Nicole
