Need Help- Disguise Myself Before the Ceremony?

Okay, I know it sounds weird. But we're getting married aboard a cruise ship, and I have to have my hair and makeup ready by the time I get on board.

 

Here's my question- I don't want my guests or FI to see me all ready (birdcage veil and all, since I'm scared to trust my friend to put it in right before the wedding), do you think I could pull off doing something to disguise myself? I was thinking maybe some sort of harem scarf over my face, or is this that too ridiculous? I mean, it will be the halloween cruise, but come on.

I think this might be a little creepy. Also, you might have problems with security or freak people out. I would say get there before everyone else to board the ship. Then you can get on and hide before they get on. Or at least have one of your friends keep everyone back a bit so they can't see you.

A pashmina wrapped around your head, then around your neck like a scarf may be ok... That's how I go out in the fall and no one seems to think I'm being creepy.

I had to get ready on the ship before heading to the resort to get married. My DH and a few of our guests saw my hair and makeup. I decided to leave the veil off and trust my aunt and cousin to help me with it before the ceremony. Worked out great! It will most likely be warm outside and you might not want to deal with wrapping something around your head and face. I was bummed about DH seeing me all done up before the ceremony but it was a part of the give in take we all go through when having a destination wedding.

How big is the cruise ship? i would contact someone and explain the situation to them about your guests seeing you and see if they can get you on before everyone else. I agree with a previous post that you might have some security problems with the scarf wrap thing (security is still on high alert after 9/11)

Wouldn't wrapping a scarf around your head mess up your hair and make-up? I'd just carry a parasol or something
