Welcome to the forum! I am getting married at Ana y Jose in February. I have been very happy with our coordinator who seems to pay attention to every little detail. We are basically just planning a party on the beach...they are actually putting a dance floor down on the beach for us. We visited and loved the location and the food is great.

 

I do agree with Malisa's comment earlier in this thread about the forced spending. I don't mind paying up for good quality, but there have been times when I've gotten frustrated with certain policies, such as the hotel reservations. They are requiring our guests to stay for 5 nights, which is too long for many people.

 

Also, the hotel is separate from the beach club, which is where our wedding will be so we are providing transportation. There are other hotels that are closer to the beach club and may be easier to work with.

Hi there,

 

Looks like we are looking for identical weddings!! I joined here to see what tips I can find. We are not into the wedding-that-will-take-a-year to plan either, but something chill, fun and memorable! We dont have a destination yet either, but if I find particularly interesting locations, will share them with you too.

Welcome and Congrats!! I know you mentioned hte west coast,but I have known many brides who fly from Cali to the Caribbean. Anguilla, BWI is fabulous and if you are not looking for high-end resorts, you can easily rent a villa there also. Many come wiht maids and also Chefs, private pools, etc. Sheriva is on the west end of the island a absolutely wonderful!! Best wishes for a great wedding!
