H1N1 Vaccine??

SuzyQ, thank you for your kind words. I hope you get in today. I just read on the Calgary Herald website that they've shut down the Avenida and Richmond Road clinics for today. My parents have been waiting in line at the Brentwood mall one for almost 4 hours now and I hope they are not turned away. Best of luck to you.

These are the times that I am thankful to live in a SMALL (& by small, I mean VERY small) town. We had to wait, but only for about 30 min. to get the shot for my son. Trouble is, he has to have another one (children are required to have 2) in about 3 weeks, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that 1) they have the vax avail still at that time b/c who knows with the shortages & 2) the line isn't outrageous.

 

I'm glad I started this thread so that everyone could chat it out over this H1N1 decision. Good luck with finding the vax ladies!!

I took my kids to get the shot. We only waited in line for an hour & a half...but in kid time thats an eternity!!

 

I will definitley be getting the shot as on the news in Calgary they were talking about a healthy 27 year old mother of two who is fighting for her life due to H1N1...scary!!

 

Also, i don't know if this Doctor is a quack or not, but my aunts (who just recovered from it) dr. told her that 100% of the people swabbed with flu like symptoms had H1N1. he said the regualr flu has all but disappeard and its all H1N1 now...

Is anyone afraid H1N1 may affect your travel plans/wedding plans? Or is anyone afraid of getting sick while away?

No, but my wedding isn't for another 10 months so hopefully by that time all this craziness will be over...

I am in the USA right now, but am planning to get the shot when I get back to Canada next week... I hope that my province (Nova Scotia) can get its sh*t together and get more doses!!
