Hi Everyone,

Any suggestions as to a short and simple email to announce my engagement?

 

This announcement is being sent to relatives and "friends" that i'm not inviting to my wedding. But I know they will hear about it so I'd rather them hear it from me than thru mutual friends or other family members. Just struggling with the wording on this potentially sensitive topic. I don't want to come right out and say they're not invited but I wouldn't want them to get the wrong idea either and think they are being invited. Here's what I have so far... Thoughts? Thanks.

 

I hope you will all join together in sharing my happiness as I announce my engagement to FI. We are planning a small destination wedding in Hawaii next summer. Thank you all for your friendship, love and support as I embark on this new chapter in my life !
