Paradisus Punta Cana Brides Help!!

Recommended Posts

Hello all. My fiance and I are so excited to have chosen this beautiful resort. All of our wedding plans are moving along without a catch until now. We have about 60 guests coming to our wedding on June 2, 2010 and the are all big drinkers. That's one of the reasons for choosing this resort, basically all you can drink. Now we have just found out that for a bartender at the reception it would cost $17 per person-per hour additional. Has anyone run into this, and if so how was it handled for your reception. Any help would be appreciated.

We had a beach reception w/ open bar but we had a flat rate for our beach reception for 3 hours (I think). We didn't pay for any additional hours. After the reception time (they gave us about 30 minutes extra for no charge) we all went to the Lobby Bar and partied it up there all night long. That was FUN and there was no extra charge, of course, at the Lobby Bar. We spent almost every night there and it was a hoot to be there after our reception b/c everyone kept the party rolling and other resort guests were fun to be around.

Im getting married at the same hotel in February. I was considering doing the same thing but I thought about it and the hotel is all-inclusive and there will be drinking for the entire vacation. I figured the reception is only 3hours and the wedding party usually goes to the club on the resort after the wedding. So I decided not to do the drinks I guess everyone can do without for a few hrs. Also the ambiance of the hotel including its amenities should be enough. I have so many friends who told me that they regret putting so much into the wedding $$$ just to wake up the next morning broke!!!!

I has started out planning on doing a dinner in one of the restaraunts but have switched to Chill out chic package. I am probably going to do an open bar after the dinner( I think wine and beer is included at dinner service). After dinner we will have an open bar for an hour and then, I am not sure what we will do. I was hoping our beach reception would close to one of bars so they could grab drinks if they wanted too.
