Need your advice please!

Recommended Posts

I'm having a bit of a dilemma. We are having 21 guests and I am thinking of setting the tables in a square with 6 people on each side so everyone sits pretty much at the same table. First of all, is this stupid? should I go for separate tables?

and now the question, should I even bother with a separate table for placecards? and if so, how do I let the guests know which side of the square they sit at?

thank you!

I am thinking of doing the family-style reception myself where everyone sits at one big table. Twenty-one people is not overly huge, so you may not need place cards, but if you wanted, say, your bridal party close to where you are sitting, then you may want a few just to specify the spots for MOH, MOG, MOB, etc.

we're having everyone sit at the same table with us at the head of the table...we are having place cards set so everyone knows where to sit and they're not scrambling around trying to figure out who should sit where...i love the idea of everyone being together (we have 30 guests)...it's so much more intimate that way!
