My DIY Mint Matchbooks! Pics & Template

Recommended Posts

So I saw this idea of mint matchbooks a long while back on a website somewhere. I figured they were easy enough to make so I tried to make my own. My FI and bridesmaids have been harping on me about putting our logo on everything, so I've since had to change it to something "beachy" as it originally had our logo on it. I'm really happy with how they turned out. I'm posting a picture of the samples I made. I haven't found mints I want to use yet (and it's also really early to buy them), so I used crunchy M&M's for now (yum!). I'm always welcome to feedback...good or bad (or should I say positive or constructive...haha).

I used regular cardstock & I was able to fit 3 to a page. I used a 1/8" round hole puncher and I've included the punch marks on the template. I cut raffia (roughly 12 inches) and threaded it through to make a bow. I trimmed the excess afterwards. I used the ZOTS (I think that's what they're called) to stick the mint bags to the matchbooks and they work great! I bought 2" x 1 1/2" recloseable bags from Michaels and they fit perfectly inside. I put in a fold mark for the top fold (with raffia) on the template. Make sure you don't make a sharp fold for the bottom as you want it to be rounded. I did pinch the corners a little to keep the shape. Feel free to message me if you have any questions, and I hope this is helpful!
