I ran into a similar problem where we booked only to have westjet offer better discounted rates. My TA went back to the company but they basically stalled in getting us new quotes so we missed out completely.

 

Your limited with time to investigate further your options so I'd simply go with another tour operator and investigate your options when you get back.
