Ready to FREAK! Need advice, please help :(

I would definitely look at other options asap. This is your wedding day and I just wouldn't risk it. Like you said, you have people flying in from other countries, you need to finalize details, etc. etc. It may not be their fault, but it doesn't change the situation.

Switch tour operators for sure!! I agree with the other ladies that it is not necessarily the TA's fault, but look at how he or she has treated you thus far. If it is anything less than FANTASTIC, switch. My TA has been fantastic, he is based in Oakville Ontario and is WONDERFUL. He would have got this sorted out for me a while ago, since this is something that he or she should be handling on your behalf. You don't need this a month before your wedding!!

Hi Ladies, well here is your update. Last night I did call another TA and explanined the situation to her. She was able to look into a few other carriers. My TA did contact me again to tell that she could only offer me, my FI and our 2 kids a change in flight but that everyone that was suppose to travel with us will have to be stuck with the changes. She did find me a great deal but, that did not solve the problem with the people that were suppose to come with us! She said the other carrier had only space for one family. When I spoke to my new back-up plan, she had no problem finding space for us all!

 

They also will only let out half of our group from the contract. So everyone that was suppose to be traveling on the Saturday are not allowed to switch. They will not be offered a refund. She also advised me that if I cancel one of the people that are traveling on Saturday will have to pay full adult price for one of her kids! Final payment for this was made back in September. On the first! I don't know how they can do this but apparently they are going to. I cannot believe the customer service this place has given me. The people on this forum have been much more helpful than they have been. You girls have informd me of things she neglected to. Thank-you for your help, advise, and support, I don't know how I would have survived all my little issues without you guys (weather you knew it or not)

I'm glad you seem to have worked it all out. We are also going with Nolitours, fingers crosses we don't have those problems. Actually I have been impressed thus far... we have been given 3 reductions to price and were only suppose to get one. I guess only time will tell!! Keep us posted!

Since the manager has left a message saying that I am entitled to a full refund because there was a greater than 24hr flight change. There have also been several other minor screw ups along the way. But this date thing is the most stressful. They have also offered to switch me to Signature tours.

Should I switch with them, or get my money back and get a new agent fast! I have eerything ready to go. Everything printed, bought, I just need to pack!

Quit while you're ahead...and try to find another co. fast!

Well the original agent has contacted me again. They wil not relase the whole group from their commitment. Only those affected by the date change. But what they have also advised that they will do is increase the the cost of two childrens tickets to adult prices. I thought they could not increase prices once final payment was made. We all had receipts that said paid in full! Instad giving me any incentive to stay they seem to e almost threatening istead. As of right now, I am kinda stuck in limbo. I have switched to another agent and company and they are trying to get me two weeks. So far I have confirmed 10 days! The more I have to deal with the original company the angrier I get. They keep telling they were doing everything the can for me, but somehow I get the feeling that they do no anything for me. Never once did I get offered anything... for gbooking a group for all the flight changes. I did end up with a price change but that increased! I only wish I could pull out my whole group.

What a mess! These are the things that make me SO afraid to book!!! We are going to Cabo and as of right now, I have only got quotes through Sunquest and they cancelled all flights to Cabo this past summer. I have one TA telling me she would bet their house they are going to do it again in 2010. So, I have held off and let 2 decent quotes expire because I am so unsure of what to do. Who said planning a DW is easier!?!?! I hope everything will work out for you in the end. They really should be doing more for you.
