Don't feel like a crazy bride- it's obvious from reading the posts about this vendor on this thread and others that she's bad news. She probably refunded the money because Mastercard was going after her for it- she would have done it for you earlier if she was interested in resolving the issue in a fair way at all.

 

Thanks for sharing your experience- you're possibly saving other people from the same stress that you went through! Hang in there- it sounds like it's almost resolved now and then you'll never have to deal with her again!

Just a little info on how Bittersweet is..and this is SO far past my crazy ordeal with my flowers and glamourina's being swapped.. (her flowers are still in NL since Crystal didnt pick up the package from canadapost when we sent it back cod to her). A summer employee of Bittersweet and many others who worked for her as well have not been paid by Crystal for the entire summer!!! Apparently they cannot locate her to get their money. How weird is this? The employee got on another forum and stated this in a post that I made regarding how bad bittersweet is.

We also had a horrible experience with Crystal at Bittersweet Wedding Designs.

 

We signed a contract with her in April 2009 to decorate our reception hall and cancelled with her in Oct 2009 because she did not respond promptly to our emails nor returned our phone calls. Her excuses were numerous such as contracting H1N1 and having issues with her phone and internet connection.

 

As of today (Jan 2010), we have not seen our refund yet. Unfortunately, our credit card company is unable to assist since the timeframe for our contract has exceeded. We have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and are looking into pursuing further action.

 

Please spread the word: AVOID BITTERSWEET WEDDING DESIGNS!

Wow.. I am happy I ordered when I did!!

 

I ordered from Bittersweet in October 2008. It did take awhile to get my order but Crystal even checked up after I received them just to make sure everything was good.

 

The ones she made me even ended up being the pictures on her website (the blue roses and cala lilies).

 

I am so incredibly happy with my flowers and that I didn't have any problems.

wow....thank god I just saw this..I had contacted her a few days ago,took her a while to respond tho....

 

but her prices were too high so I didnt bother with any order..

Hi Ladies,

 

Just want to let you know that this has also happened to me. I paid my deposit in September 2009 for flowers in February 2010, never received them and still have not received a refund. Please beware of who you are dealing with, always search on better business bureau (you will see that Bitter Sweet Wedding Designs has an F-!!!). Please save yourself the stress and money and do NOT deal with this company.
