Awesome job Michele!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had two sessions with my trainer this week and while I haven't been wicked sore afterwards I could definitely feel it in the muscles we'd been focusing on. He's really trying to help strengthen my core before we get into a lot of other stuff because I've definitely got some weakness there from last years accident and it's amazing how obvious that weakness is during some moves! I couldn't believe how much I had to THINK about the particular exercise that I was doing at the time.

The part that really bummed me out about the whole thing is that Geoff is naturally good at ANY thing athletic, including working out at the gym and seeing results in like two days. It drives me nuts even though it's a trait that attracts me as well. So I've mentioned before that he's really tight with his money so the other day (in a rather disapproving voice) he asked how much had I bothered spending on this training and how long did I plan to bother doing it. I mean, it's great that he doesn't think I need to lose weight or anything but he just doesn't understand that some people like having a trainer or need that help to focus on their exercising. Plus, I know I spent more than I would have like to so it's hard to justify already, without his disapproval. He'd never tell me that I wasn't allowed to do it or anything, but it kind of makes me feel like I'm wasting my time on something that won't even have results or show any accomplishment. I'm going to keep at it, but I just wish he'd 'get it' a little more.

FI is the same way being good at EVERYTHING naturally and also sees results quickly and doesn't understand the need for a trainer...I should just be motivated....and I spent a TON on the trainer...and FI said maybe I should have just gotten the lipo because I'd already look good....Nice, right?

give it a bit more time and let him see a little more results. My bicep is actually a bit defined now and even though he laughs when i show him, I know he's impressed and proud that I'm working so hard.

And it is amazing how much you have to think about the exercise....

keep up the good work...we're all proud of you!

I'm back on the workout kick, I've been MIA for a while, life got in the way!! not only working out but the forum too!!

Nice job Michelle!!! 9 pounds is absolutely awesome and you must be feeling great!

Meghan - totally envious of your trainer!! lol I wish I could justify the cost to FI, but I don't think I'd win that debate! lol I have been going to the gym Mon-Fri, they have babysitting which is a HUGE help and Tezzie totally loves it, plus he gets to hang out with kids other than me!

I hope all is well with everyone and I can't wait to catch up on all I missed!

Thanks for all the support ladies!! I'm totally happy sticking it out and I just know that Fi has a bit of an attitude towards having a trainer because he just doesn't understand why ppl need them - being a natural as I mentioned. SO, the best I get is that he just keeps his mouth shut and let's me go happily along my way :) And I'm good with that too. But it's definitely a nice feeling having you all around for the extra back-up on a bad day especially.

ok, my body has been ravaged, and not in a good way, and I'm thinking as I get older my muscles are not healing as fast as they used to...

also you know what eternally pisses me off...the for the most part, men are always trying to gain weight and or mass, and women are usually trying to loose it...My FI can think about cardio and he's 5-10 pounds down, and he is the naturally athletic type and things come to him very easily - and he LOVES running, just runs like Forest Gump like it's no big deal...Run Forest Run!!

I want to eat the box of chocolates we got for Christmas (and I never opened for that reason) right now, it's 11:55pm...can you tell what time of the month it is?

Wow I feel so much better, thanks!

Back at the gym tomorrow, triceps, biceps, abs, back, legs and cardio...then a little hot tub time and some swimming with Tezzaroo, if I'm not too cranky! lol

Okay have I mentioned before that I LOVE having a trainer?!?! I've been going for three weeks now and my hour-long workouts aren't enough! It goes by so quickly every single time. I'm also doing a set of six-week running programs during the rest of the week (5 days at about a half hour per run) and my trainer said tonight that I'm definitely in a good position to be seeing results by the wedding!!! I know I'm lucky that I don't have a lot of weight that I'm trying to get off but he said that because I'm doing toning and have a small margin of change to make, it's going to be a lot of hard work for me. The strange thing is that I'm actually REALLY excited about it!

Hope everyone else has been keeping on it!
