Our wedding is scheduled Nov 27th, 2010 & our site inspection is on June 15th (less than a month away...so excited)! :)

How are your guests booking their stays? Through the hotel directly or through a travel agency?

We really wanted our guests to stay at the hotel and are actually paying for 3 nights at the hotel for the majority of our guests (our checkbook hates us!:) ) but I am having trouble figuring out the best way to arrange that. I was told through the hotel that any changes to the reservations result in a $50 fee and I know some guests may want to stay loner/upgrade their room. Any suggestions?? Thank you! :)

I have a travel agent but we're not reserving rooms for others. Maybe wait until the person can tell you if they want to upgrade and then reserve?

I am getting married at The Royal in April 2011-

I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to see pics from your weddings there. I am having about 100 people at the wedding (large for destination standards, I know- 220 invites going out) and I am so nervous because I've never been there.

If you don't want to post them over this- PLEASE PM me and I will give you my email. Tell me everything!! lol

We were originally doing a beach reception but then we thought about the heat, the issues for the elderly walking around on the sand, etc and we moved it inside to one of the large ballrooms. We are having about 100+ people so we needed something that will be comfortable for everyone. We are getting married in the gran caribe gazebo because we were told it is more private.

Where r u having it?

We're at the Royal gazebo. We were actually going to switch to teh Gran Caribe gazebo because we wanted to have the cocktail hour just outside on the terrace there but it was already reserved. The Royal is just off the pool so you're limited to just being inside the gazebo.
