chapstick labels

Recommended Posts

I made mine last night and really like the way they turned out!  Silly but cute!  I made the bride and groom starfish in power point - I didn't know this until yesterday, but you can "ungroup" clip art and take bits and pieces from several different ones to make your own new one.  Just right click on an inserted clip art, click ungroup, then you can move, delete, recolor, etc. as you wish.  I did that, then once I had it like I wanted, I highlighted the new picture and clicked save as picture.  Then I went into word to make my labels (custom labels, as the ones I used weren't avery or any brand I know of) and inserted my picture.

I bought the blank chapstick and blank labels from bulkapothecary.com.  I think I ended up paying around $50 for 100 chapsticks and 108 labels (the ones I bought come in sheets of 12), which are really great, including $10 shipping.  They don't smudge at all and are pretty easy to put on.  They even have a perforated edge so the tubes are sort of sealed.  I'd definitely order from them again.  Very reasonably priced and everything arrived in less than a week.

Ok so I finally finished my DIY chapsticks!!! I'm just posting it all here instead of starting a new thread. I bought my Chapstick on eBay, I'm not listing the seller as it was my first bad eBay transaction and I don't think the seller should get any more business. Long story short, seller has horrible communication and refused to answer any of my messages, my lip balm showed up some missing lids, wrong flavours, and everything thrown into a ziplock unlabelled or marked. I left the seller neutral feedback and I got back a nasty message telling me I'm banned from buying again. Good thing this is the only time ill ever need lip balm lol. Anyways I designed my labels in publisher, and printed them on my home inkjet printer. Used a glue dot runner to put the labels on the tube then I used a shrink wrap band over top which is great cause it seals everything up and protects it plus they have the safety seal. I just used my hair dryer to shrink it. Anyways here are some pics! 400 Just my labels printed out 400 My supplies and labels cut out 400 400 Finished product
