Parasols instead of flowers?

I really love parasols and am 99% sure that myself and my 2 bridesmaids will be carrying parasols with them down the aisle. My MOH is not able to go b.c she just found out shes prego and due the WEEK of my wedding...that's a whole other story!

 

Do you think that if it is a beach wedding that *only* carrying parasols would be strange, or do you think they should have flowers and parasols? I think it may be too much with both...awkward to walk down the aisle.

 

Would your opinion change if it was a gazebo wedding?

 

Thanks for any input!! I'm torn. Flowers are so much more expensive, even though they are always beautiful. I will still have my bouquet though.

I'm doing only parasols for my MOH and BM and I'm carrying a button bouquet. We're getting married in a gazebo too. I'm not a huge fan of flowers and I like the way the pictures look with the parasols on the beach. I have an extra one for me during the pictures.
