AHR - Guest Books

Just wondering if you girls are doing two separate guest books. We are thinking of doing a beach theme scrapbook with the guest pictures and a spot for them to write a note/wish for the destination wedding/reception.

But now what should we do for the AHR.

Wanted the scrapbook as a keep sake of the wedding/vacation but now undecided for the AHR. Help//

We had a caricature done of us that we're bringing with us to the beach and will have our guests attending the actual ceremony sign the photo mat. We figured this would be more practical than a book, because we'll get to look at this up on the wall.

For our AHR, we intend to do the whiteboard guestbook that a number of brides on this forum have done, and we'll make a scrapbook with those photos.

Hope this helps!

You should do a search on guestbooks- there are some other creatibe ideas in here if you're looking for something out of the ordinary.

I just finished designing my guestbook pages for our AHR and have attached a publisher copy of them. We are having a small ceremony in the Dominican Republic and are taking a picture frame mat to have those who are attending the wedding sign. I got so many great ideas from this forum I thought I had better share them. I am also going to create a cover similar to the one I saw at Black and White Damask with Lime Green Wedding by creativebridal

My colors are black and white damask and kiwi green so the green on the cover will be darker.

Let me know what you all think.

Oh yeah I forgot to mention that we are going to hand these out as guests arrive with a personalized pen that they can keep. There will be a decorated basket on the same table for people to put the pages into when they are finished filling them out. I thought I would put the picture matt that those who attended the ceremony signed with a framed wedding picture on the same table along with the cover for the guestbook pages.

I got the idea from another bride but what we are doing is having postcards(Vistaprint of course) and have people write on those. Keeping with the destination wedding theme it's all beachy and I think I'm leaning towards a treasure chest to put them in. Then I'll put them in a scrapbook with some pictures. I wanted to do something a little bit different than the regular guest book. And since everyone at the ceremony will be at the AHR we won't have anything to sign at the ceremony. I already have too much stuff to bring with me.

We are just doing 1 guest book for the DW & AHR. It is a coffee table book of Paris (we got engaged there) and guests can sign on any of the pages. I think it would be cool to use a book from the city where you had the DW for the AHR guest book.

We originally were going to have only one guestbook but since we are doing a scrapbook with the pictures of the destination wedding guests it may not make sense. Not sure how the AHR guests will feel. We are having about 50 guests and about 150 AHR guests. It would be hard to get pictures of the 150 guests and I don't know how they will feel about signing in a book that had memories of the wedding when they weren't there. Still undecided.
