I have to cover my Tats!!!

I'm a makeup artist with a tattoo on my back and I'm struggling with the same issue. NOTHING works to cover tattoos. Finding a makeup artist who has experience with an airbrush machine is the way to go if it's possible. Everything is a a thick, cream base that will surely NOT hold up in hot weather. Kat Von D's concealer does NOT work. Trust me. Dermablend could possibly work, but you have to have someone with skills to apply it. It's a layered process that really takes a perfect touch. Also, shaving the area you're trying to cover is huge because otherwise the makeup lays in the baby hairs and the finish won't look as good.

 

As far as covering them up, I love my tattoos, but they're not something I want to show in wedding photos. I'm considering wearing my hair down to camoflauge this one on my back.

 

Permanant removal is extremely time consuming and isn't a sure thing. Pastel colors are extremely hard to remove and yellow and blue is almost impossible. Believe it or not, black is the easiest to remove. The lazer goes for dark colors first. You cannot tan for a month before or afterwards as it can cause mal-pigmentation of the skin.

 

Ugh. My search continues as well. I will keep you posted if I find a fool proof method.

this is a subject that has been discussed many times before, and the best option ive ever heard is why dont you ask your photographer to blend it away with photoshop? also there is the option of posing in a way that will not show off that arm... ??
