I love Crest Whitestrips Advance-seal!!

Recommended Posts

I work in the dental field and have to tell you that for the cost of using the crest white strips, and the based on the results, sometimes you are better of getting the in office whitening kit from your dentist. I know we sell ours for $250 and that includes the bleaching trays that are an exact replica of your teeth. The problem with the crest strips or any over the counter whitening kit is that they cant bleach interproxiamlly (in between the teeth) so you get good result from the crest kit; however when the colour regresses in two weeks time you will see inconsistencies. As with any bleaching, your colour will regress to the actual shade you will be after two weeks of not bleaching. With in office or take home bleaching kits, you are guarenteed great results and it bleaches all the way through. NOt like the crest white strips, where they just bleach the surface of the tooth. You are spending so much money on the strips for them to only last maybe a month. Why not spend a little bit more and get the full results for a year. Plus all you have to do is store your excess bleach in the fridge and you can do a "touch up" once every six months (if your a coffee, tea, wine drinker or smoker) and have the professional look. I dont know how many patients I have had in the past complain about their crest white strips, even the new ones, bc the results vary vastly from person to person. Plus the results are not long lasting.

If you are only looking for a temp fix just for your wedding, then I guess crest white strips are okay bc they are just going to fade back to their normal colour in about a month. But if you are looking at doing this long term, then its definitely more cost effective and you get way better results if you consult your dentist for an in office solution like "ZOOM" or take home bleaching kit.

Just thought I would share....good luck with the strips....and congrats ladies!

Yeah but there is a big difference (at least for me) between $40.00 and $250.00 and I am only really concerned about the wedding day. I see those bubbles working in between my teeth and definitely notice an improvement. This is a good alternative to spending a lot on professional whitening if you cannot afford it.
