Welcome Artese! A few girls here on the forum were just married in Akumal. You should read their wedding reviews. Their names are Jaclynda & Marie Sam. I would highly recommend doing a mayan ceremony, with Marie & Charlie as your shaman. I used them when I was married in Tulum this February. They exude love and everyone at every one of their weddings always says that "that was the most amazing ceremony ever!" even my photographer.

I coordinate weddings in the area and am running a scouting trip down there Nov. 11-15. Let me know if you would like to join or just want me to look into anything for you.
