Have you ever been treated?

What did you like/dislike about it?

I've been receiving treatment the last month or so and the results are hard to measure but I definitely know something feels different.

I'm curious to see what other people think :-)

I have not tried it but my FI has and says that it is amazing. He had an issue with shoulder and arm pain. For years it would get worse. He went to several regular doctors and was told after numerous tests that nothing is wrong. He was perscribed all kinds of meds .... muscle relaxants, anti-inflammatroy, nerve stuff, all kinds of things that he could not take. He is super sensitive to medication (you the info sheet you get with eacg one that explains the drug, it;s action, and side effects, well start at the top of the list and work your way down for the issues he develops when on meds). I was finally able to convince him to try something new. First he tried massage therapy, but the therapist said that the propblem was to deep for him to help. So next we tried acupuncture, and with wonderful results He got relief right away. He did have to go back a few times, but it definitely helped.

I did it several years ago. I was doing some yard work (putting up a brick retainer wall) and ended up messing up my back, so bad that I couldn't stand up straight. I started going to a chiropracter, and was about 60% better but after several months I just couldn't get past that 60% and was still in alot of pain. I decided to try acupuncture, and I' am so glad I did, he got me 95% better in a few short months. I swear by it now,

Give it some time, I never did the tea's and stuff they want you to try I just did the needles and it worked great.

Hey I'm actually getting my master's in acupuncture currently. I get treated all the time and have been treating people for awhile now. I've seen amazing outcomes. I have one woman with MS who was told she would never walk again - that was last October, now she's walking playing with her kids and doesn't have a single complaint. Her western doctor is now sending all of his patients with MS to get acupuncture. If you have any questions or want some more information pm me and I'd be more than happy to help. There honestly isn't a single that that acupuncture can't treat or help with, with the exception of a broken bone because I can help your pain but you still need someone to put you in a cast!

I tried it and did not like it. My old neurologist wanted to try it for my migraines so we did...she was a licensed acupuncturist as well as a neurologist.

She put all the needles in and told me to relax. I couldn't and felt kind of sick afterwards. I know a lot of people swear by it but for me personally it was not a good experience.

I'm a needle freak so the first couple sessions my provider was very reserved in the treatment, started out putting the needles in places I couldn't see to help keep me from passing out from the anxiety. She's constantly asking for feedback and only on one occasion has she caused me discomfort-and it wasn't even pain it was just a huge wave of dizziness. After that treatment I did feel kind of ill-but she explained that the meridians she was working with might cause that. For the most part though I don't even feel much, just some stinging.

I've been using acupuncture for almost 5 years. I started going for all kinds of digestive problems. I really couldn't eat without nexium or rolaids, etc. I felt differently almost immediately. I now go once a month for maintenance on the digestion, pms, immunity boosts, energy. I recommend it to everyone. A friend who tried for years to get pregnant was able to conceive naturally after going to my acupuncturist. Others have tried it and didn't respond. Good luck!
