Hi Amy, congrats and welcome to the forum! We are also getting married in Mexico, but we are doing the legal ceremony back home to make things easier in Mexico and make sure that we get the type of ceremony we want as well.

congrats!!!! I am also having a catholic ceremony at the Gran Caribe in Cancun. i plan to get married in the US first simply because it is cheaper and easier but im sure it will all work out if u decide to get married legally in Mexico. I do know that you have to pay for blood tests there and stay for four days with four witnessess. Good luck!
