I'm so excited only 7 months left

 

I have my dress

Almost done glueing my invites

Working on OOT bags

Wishing all the people who said they were coming would actually commit w/ our travel

agent

Wishing that I wasn't the only one who thought 7month was really soon

 

Tell me about what going through all you other May brides minds...

I'm getting married May 14, 2010 at the Barcelo Maya Palace!!! Can't wait! I think 7 months is going to FLY by.

it's still less than 8 months for me... wow you are ahead of me! i only bought my dress...i haven't even started on my invites. haha.

i am with you about the travel agent. i'm becoming like a rep for her..."if you are planning to come, please email our travel agent"

I'm new to the this thread

Josh and I are getting married May 15, 2010... 5.15.10 I love that date... in Puerto Aventuras which is near Playa del Carmen in Mexico.

 

I see lexibride and sfrench0621 are my date twins. Anyone else?

 

I feel like I've gotten a lot accomplished so why is my to-do list growing?

 

Completed:

reserved wedding date and resort

picked TA

sent out STD

have dress and it's altered

invites printed... in process of glueing... plan to mail in Jan

Have maracas for favors

putting together OOT bags with the vows theme (i.e. in sickness and health)

bachelorette in Vegas last weekend, fun fun

 

My concerns include

52 ppl have said they are coming but only 7 have booked

wedding party hasn't booked

my bridesmaid w/ a degree in design offered to design/constructing BM dress... but no progress because she's commuting 4 hours a day

My FI is super busy w/ work until Jan

My mom is the opposite of overly involved

I want to plan decorations but I don't even have a confirmed location at the resort for my reception... and I have to wait till 4 months out.... grrr

 

 

Does anyone else feel similarly? I'm so glad I found this thread. I feel an instant bond because we are all going through the same stuff at the same time.

I am also a 5.15.10 bride. You are much further along than I am! And I am super jealous about the bachelorette party in Vegas. I haven't even gotten the STDs out yet. I was trying to finalize a website before sending them.

We sent our invites out last week so everyone's gotten them now. yay! We have to have final payment for the hotel in by Jan 5th so I wanted to give people some time.

 

 

Just picked up my wedding band tonight & I LOVE it. I really want to wear it! But I'll show some self-restraint & wait til May.

I have sent out save the date/ invites/ and have bought my dress... Plenty more to do

May 29 at Barcelo Palace! Seems like May is a popular month! Even though time is flying, it still seems like it's too far away! I'm just glad the holidays are going to make time go fast
