Your invitations came out really good. I'm going the DIY route also, just maybe not as much as you. How much did everything cost you to do the boarding pass invite and how many did you make?

Im guessing approx maybe about $50 Aussie Dollars.

I printed everything at home, mum stole (hehe borrowed) the white card stock from her school. I only really paid for the turqouise card - 25 sheets, ribbon and the bling and paper fastners.

I have made about 20 of them so far! still a few more to go!

That's not bad at all. Humm...I was condidering doing MIB invites...but I love the concept of the boarding pass invite....I'm torn. I am really concidering doing my invites after the first of the year so people have the time to save up.

Hey Miss Frogg, Sorry I'm just getting back to you. We changed the date because we are paying cash for this wedding and both of us work hard enough at our first jobs and are too busy with our kids that we can't get a second job. So moving it back puts less pressure on us to save.

For you ladies who are sending out invites so early. I can't confirm my date with my resort until like march 09. How did you confirm so early with your resort (if you're getting married at a resort)?

Trust me....I know all about paying cash for the wedding. That's what we are doing. The only thing he put on a credit card was my ring.....8K in cash is CRAZY! Good luck. Maybe we'll have some good bargins for each other.

 

In responce to your resort question; I haven't contacted anybody yet...because we are getting married on Savannah, GA and I don't foresee a problem. We want to go look at different places before hand. Have you talked to your resort and explained that you really need to know if you can reserve your date. Some will be willing to work with you!

I'm a late May 2010 bride too. Can't book anything yet (too early) I would love to send my save the date when I decided what kind to send. Initially we were going to send a magnet, but I love the boarding pass idea.

Hey girls, I've also been waiting to get confirmation from the resort before sending out stds....but march/april is too long for us to wait! we can book our flights then, and want the stds to be used as a reminder that we are booking up then...so going to send out the stds in february with no wedding date, just the departing date on them!

 

what resort are you all getting married at ladies?

I'm officially a May 2010 bride!!! My TA (TA Dina from the forum!!!) was able to confirm the date with the hotel.
