Hi there! If you're looking to get legally married in Mexico you MUST be there 4 business days prior to the ceremony. Unfortunately that's not a resort requirement, it's a government one! Like the other girls said, if your dates are firm for Mexico, do the legal part at home so you can just show up and have fun without worrying about paperwork, blood tests and all the other stuff!

We're having our symbolic ceremony wedding at the Gran Bahia Principe Coba in the Mayan Riviera.

I believe the 4 days is a Mexico law. No matter where you go in Mexico it will be the 4 days. I could be wrong. That is only if you want a legal ceremony as well. If you just want to do the vows and not legalize it in Mexico you don't have to be down there 4 days. I am getting married at Dreams in June and cannot wait. I have heard a lot of great things about the resort.

Hi Tara!

We too are getting legally married at home and not telling anyone. We are getting married at the Moon Palace in Cancun....and we still had to be there 3 days prior to our wedding. So we fly in on Tuesday and get married Saturday. We could have flown in Wednesday though!

Good luck!
