Jamaica Wedding

Thanks for all of your welcomes and encouragement. This destination wedding planning is a lot more difficult then I expected. There are so many hotels to choose from, although I did narrow my search down to Negril (I think (-:).

Congratulations and welcome!

Check out the Jamaica threads. Depending on how many guests are planning on and the type of resort there are quite a few options. We have a really small, all adult group so we went with an AI in Ocho Rios because it was quiet and the ceremony was pretty simple. Either way you decide there is a ton of great info here so happy planning!

I am getting married at Sandals Negril in May 2010. We chose that resort since there is going to be a child and Beaches Negril is very close by. The beach looks great too and they do have the tours there. We already booked the canopy tour and the horseback ride and swim. We are also thinking about doing the rum tour.

Hi Nicole

I actually am looking into Jamaica for my wedding as well. I have read a lot of reviews and just started reading a lot of information on resorts in Jamaica and have read amazing reviews on the Riu in Ocho Rios and we are actually most likely going with that. I am really just looking for a relaxed wedding that everyone can enjoy themselves at and the reviews I have read and the pictures I have seen from prior weddings look beautiful.

Good luck with your planning!

Shannon
