Hi there,

My fiance and I are looking at getting married at the Riu Santa Fe. We originally wanted to get married on December 31st 2010, however, we just heard back from the hotel and they do not do weddings on the 30th or the 31st due to the New Years Gala. Has anyone gotten married on January 1st at the Riu Santa Fe, or any other resort in Cabo? We want to keep it around that time of year, as we (and many of our guests) are teachers and we get 2 weeks off at that time & can't take vacation through the year.

A New Year's wedding is such a great idea! We wanted to do that as well, but it was a bit too pricey for us to go during the holiday season. I'm sure lots of girls have had New Year's weddings, and you will find lots of info here! Good luck with everything!
