Greetings to all!!!

Hi Everyone!!

 

I am so new to this forum and haven't quite figure out how things work on here. O hope that i'll be able to get a hang of this soon.

 

Let me tell you a little about us and our wedding to come. We got engaged 1 week before Valentine's of last year. It happened in Switzerland. Phi is from Switzerland, and I'm here in Canada. How did we meet? Well, we've known each other since we were 4 or 5 back in Vietnam. Phi and his family moved to Switzerland when he was 8. My family and I moved to Canada four years later. Since Phi and his family moved to Switzerland, we have not been in contact at all, until one day in April of 2002 when I had just returned home from work, and my mom told me of a special phone call she received earlier. I was ecstatic when she told me that it was Phi and his mom who called. We started conversing back and forth over email and random phone calls, then we decided that we would meet up back in Vietnam July of 2002, since both of our families were deciding on vacationing there that summer. We met, and decided that we really liked each other, A LOT....then we started flying our very long distant relationship shortly after.

 

So here we are a few years later, planning our wedding that is July 22nd, 2010. We knew that we didn't want an elaborate wedding because one we don't want to take out a huge huge loan for just that one day (in addition to the student of mine and a car loan of ours), and two since we live on two different continents we thought it might be fun to make our special guests fly to another country for the wedding, and lastly, we love love love the beach.

 

We decided on Jamaica because we had been on a vacation last summer and just LOVED it there. Also, getting there isn't as complicated as Dominican for example. After looking at many many resorts, we decided on the Palladium Lady Hamilton in Lucea, Jamaica.

 

We're now just getting started and it is stressful but SO EXCITING at the same time. I hope to get feedback from ladies who have been to the resort and gotten married there just so i know what to and not to expect!
