Anway, that is my experience with the Mexican medical facilities. BTW, the clinic I went to was Northwest Medical....they spoke perfect English there (I think it was near the Malia). There was also another medical clinic on the main drag in Cabo. hope this helps a little.

I'm sorry you had to go to the hospital during your wedding week, but I'm glad it all worked out. Thanks for the information on the medical facilities. That is reassuring. Congratulations on your recent marriage.

The Villa's can be expensive.. there is an event fee and a homeowners association fee on top of the daily rate. Depending on who you rent from they can also require you stay a certain number of days. We've got Villa Grande for 3 nights.. Our wedding is about the same size as yours and are having our 'wedding party' stay at the house with us. The rest of our guests are staying at the PB Sunset. The nice thing is .. there are a lot of Villa's to choose from so you can really adjust your price! Make sure you talk to someone about WHAT you want to do at the Villa..so you know you have enough square footage. We went with Villa Grande because it's been recommended for weddings and it's pretty big! But we're doing the Wedding, & Reception there.. and we're hosting a welcome bbq for our guests the Friday afternoon before!
As for the Caterer.. we're having the wedding catered, of course, but for day to day meals.. we're stocking up on some food at the Costco.. and our guests can come and go as they please.. We're only there 3 nights.. and we have stuff planned for each night they're there.. so they won't go hungry!
Our BBQ we're doing ourself.. My brother and my FI brother will be maning the grill.. we're getting salads and chips and beer and making it very low key!
Our Caterer is Lazy Gourmet.. only because we've heard fantastic things about them. I've never heard anything bad about the food.. but I will caution, their WC isn't exactly speedy at getting back to me, or getting things done.. but I've got friends who have been married in Cabo before.. and say that's just they way everyone operates there. So I'm trying to chill out about planning!

Hi girls! One of my big concerns about getting married in Cabo is that my sister in law will have given birth only a few months before we're to get married. The baby will be about four months when our wedding rolls around but my sister in law is very nervous to bring the baby to Mexico and come to the wedding. I have talked to my own OBGYN and she said it's really no different than taking a baby to Hawaii. It sounds like the medical facilities in Cabo are pretty great if anything (god forbid) were to happen. Did any of you ladies have small babies at your wedding? Cabo is really very "americanized" so I think it will be fine but I'm not a mom yet so I don't know the extent of her worries.

I don't know how to move this to it's own thread - but I'll reply. My family went to Cozumel with my bro about 18 years ago and he was only 6 months old. He was fine. And consider that it was 18 years ago and Cozumel wasn't nearly as developed as it is now. Same goes for the rest of Mexico. Baby will be fine!
