My dress! And what my FI should wear!

Recommended Posts

I finally figured this out! This is my dress. I swore I wouldn't buy one my first day looking, but my mom, BFF and I fell in love with this one. And even though we fell in love with it at the first shop we went to, we explored a few more and found it for $115 cheaper! Yippee!

Its more formal than I thought I would get. But who can resist a dress that makes you look 3 sizes smaller!! (Gotta love corsets!)

Now I just need to figure out what my man will wear! He had his heart set on being comfy in shorts. Is this too formal for that? Should I suggest pants? Any suggestions would be great!

Your dress is beautiful and Yay for it being so flattering.

The great thing about a DW is that you can do whatever you want.. no rules. If your FI wants shorts, the awesome girls on this forum will give great advice on a way to make it happen.

I think if you did shorts maybe it might be a button down with a tie in your wedding colors could dress it up?

Your dress is stunning.....and you want your man to look like he matches the beautiful bride, right?! I am with everyone else who has said that for the occasion, he really probably ought to wear pants. I think it will just look "off balanced" if your are super glam and he's beach-casual, you know?!

Use your best judgement on what he's going to wear, but just remember the happiness that you both will be feeling will shine through whatever attire you have on! Even in a burlap sack, a bride could still look like a knock-out! wink.gif

LOVE your dress!!!!!

I don't think shorts will look so great with your dress, but what about this - have him wear slacks and a white shirt for the ceremony and change into his shorts for the reception? That way your pics will look fabulous and he will stay comfy for the longer part of the day??

DH wore his military dress blues for the ceremony and changed into a more casual outfit (khakis and a button down shirt) for the reception and it was perfect for us! We did formal pics in his dress blues before the ceremony and more fun pics in his casual wear after the ceremony.

But - whatever makes YOU TWO happy is what you should do! It's YOUR day!
