How Much Did You Pay For Your Reggae Band???

I am just looking to see how much people have paid for a reggae band from Negril? We are getting married at Coral Cove and they are charging $850US for 4 hours. Does that seem like a regular amount to anyone?

 

Does anyone have a contact for a band in Negril that I could book myself?

I am not having a Reggae band. I think at my resort it $2500 for four hours. $800 sounds like a deal!!

We are having a steel drum band and it costs $300 for one hour...

We are getting a Reggee band for 1hr for the rehearsal dinner and it's $350, so you are getting a good deal!!

I think it sounds like a steal! Our resort is charging anywhere from $3000-$5000 depending on the band.

Marne, where are you getting married? I have a 3 piece steel drum band on New Year's Eve for $600 for 4 hours. I would not pay $3000+, are they insane?!

The steel drum band they offer is cheaper. It's the reggae band for the reception that is expensive. We're getting married at the Ritz Carlton in Montego Bay. The only band I can think of right now is Pace - which is not the most expensive. Do you think something sounds off?

I would do some research...$3000+ just does not sound right. Bands in JA do not charge that much! How much time are you going to get for $3000?

I thought something like 4 or 5 hours. . . I have no idea. I have no clue how much things are supposed to cost and it didn't sound that expensive to me. I'll investigate. In the meantime, does anyone have other bands I should look into? I know the resort charges an extra $500 or so to bring in an outside vendor but it might be worth it.
