Bridesmaid Wine Glasses

Hi ladies! I have finished buying all the gifts for my bridesmaids, but recently came across really cute personalized wine glasses. I have spent a ton of money on them and wasn't looking to drop a couple hundred more, so I thought maybe I could make them myself with some stencils and paint. I think it would be really cute to give them to them on my bachelorette night to use. Has anyway ever attempted this? I am going to try Michael's and see what I can find. I will post pics when I am done.

I make glasses all the time and it is really easy. I have used real wine glasses, plastic cups and glass beer steins and they always turn out cute. The pic is from my best friends bachelorette party. I made them out of plastic wine glasses from Target because it was a pool party. I put eveyone's name on them, painted a different design on the bottom of each glass, and put the date on the back. I glued some tulle on the back of the brides to look like a veil. Here's how I do it:

 

1. Buy paint pens and glass

2. Make your design on the computer and print it out

3. Tape the print out to the inside of the glass with the design facing out

4. Trace away with your paint pen

5. Don't wash in the dishwasher. You can buy sealant, but it always makes the glasses look foggy to me.

That is really cute! I bought some paint last night and gave it a whirl. So far, they look pretty cute. I am worried that the paint will come off when they are washed though. I just used acryllic paint.

Thank you for the directions...I just bought 2 wine glasses from Macy's for $24.99 a piece for the cute hand painted ones! And I thought all this time that it was soo hard lol
