Does anyone else check their registry status??

We registered for about 10 things at BB&B. I check it every week to see if anyone has got us anything (can't help it, it's addicting). So far only one thing has been purchased...our wedding is in 3 weeks. I've had this registry up for 3 months. I probably sound like a jerk, but this is upsetting! I think people feel in my family that I am having a destination wedding, that I am not entitled to the fanfare that all bride-to-be's in my family have gotten in the past??

I"m not having a shower, but we are having a big ahr that everyone has been invited to.

This sucks. Sorry if I sound like a brat. But nobody seems to care that I am getting married since they wont be there.

I'm not really expecting to get much of anything from my guests. If anything, I will be surprised if we get gifts just because I know that those who do attend will have spent a lot of money just to travel to the wedding. I don't check the registry because I set-up my profile in the registry so that it will send me an email when someone has purchased a gift from the registry.

 

Just be patient... Some of your guests may be waiting until the last minute. Just my two cents.

I do check. I want to send out a thank you ASAP after the gift is received. I expect nothing and am thankful for all we have already received. Our engagement Party was last weekend and we received several items in that week prior.

It does suck. But, I think the people at the AHR will give you gifts, atleast they should.

I'm totally a registry stalker! I was really bad when I had my daughter too. I swear they should ban my IP address from those things!

But, don't be disheartened. Nobody wants to bring a gift to your destination, so maybe more people will shop when it gets closer to your AHR?
