Large Wedding Party

Recommended Posts

I have a big family and both my fiance and I have a lot of close friends. Our wedding party is more than likely going to consist of 7 bridesmaids and 6 groomsmen. I'm starting to think that it might be too big for a DW. But I really can't picture cutting anyone out. Everyone that we are planning on asking are important to us. Is anyone else having a large wedding party?

I had 8, but then I felt bad leaving another friend out so now I have 9 bridesmaids, 2 jr. bridesmaids, and my fi is only having 4 or 5 groomsmen, lol! It should be interesting but I really don't care anymore. I would rather have too many than leave someone out!

The only thing I am worried about is the bouquet situation, even the silk bouquets is expensive for a wedding party that big! What are you doing about that?

I actually think I'll forgo the bouquets for my bmaids. Its really expensive for something they will hold on to for maybe an hour. IF we do bouquets we will find a way to incorporate them into centerpeices I think. Like have an empty vase and then they will each place one in a vase at the reception. I've seen it done for head tables and it looks nice

omg thank you so much for this! We started off with four on both sides and than it grew to six each. I was really stressing that it's too many people for a DW - but they are all people we couldn't imagine not being in the wedding party.

It makes me feel so much better knowing that there are other DW brides going this route. I like what damaris wrote "the more the merrier". thewave.gif
