tai flora questions

I was wondering if any of you or anybody you saw at ROR rented the paper lanterns to decorate the poolside reception from Tai Flora. If so can you share pics or direct me where to go. As well did any of you have problems putting a 50% deposit down ahead of time or did everyhting run smoothly when you got there?

My sister got married in Jamaica 3 years ago. We attended her wedding and all of the decor was provided by Tai Floral. They have been in Ocho Rios area forever and are very highly recommended. She had no problem putting the required deposit down. She was in contact with them frequently prior to her arrival in Jamaica and once she got to the resort (we all stayed at the Jamaica Inn), there was a note in her room that the manager from Tai had set up a conference call and would actually come to the Inn to meet with her. They are very professional, honest - beautiful decorations - I think they must be the best in Jamaica. Good uck !

You might be talking about my wedding. I bought the lanterns at Bed Bath & Beyond. You can take a look at my pics using the link at the bottom and then go to reception pics. Chandlyn and the ROR staff hung them for me.

Hi. I did not get married at the ROR, but we used Tai Flora and had lanterns. They did a great job. Payment was coordinated throught out WC, we had no problems.

Ya I saw the lanterns at your wedding, I was originally going to do that as well but I'm already having luggage weight issues so I thought it would be way easier to just rent the set up they have. Thank you though Your looked really pretty!

I didn't know that Tai did lanterns. Do you know how much they cost? We wanted to save money, so it was really cheap to buy the lanterns with coupons at BBB and bring them down. We just left them there.

Kris - We rented beach beds and had Tai do custom cushions, some draping and the lanterns.... looking for a picture....

I think they have a picture of the lanterns on their website.

My sis had no problems putting up a deposit - they are well respected in Jamaica as vendors. I doubt if we still have the catalog from then from 3 years ago, and if we did, I am sure it has been updated many times. You can e-mail them to have them send a catalog if you do not have it. My sis got married at another resort - not ROR and I think you might mean Riu in Ocho Rios?? BTurner
