I have a friend in a similar situation where she has two dresses. Basically, they were planning to get married, big fight, called off the wedding a few months prior. Now, rescheduled a year and half later at a more casual place, so she needed a different dress. We found the new dress she wanted on this site and going to put her first dress up here as well. At least you would get some money back....

Wow I guess I'm going against the majority (and will confuse you even more), but my vote is for the silk. While I love the lace and think it's gorgeous, I think the silk is sooo sexy and beachy and looks AMAZING on you. You can really pull it off (and should!)
