Timing of Prelude/Processional/Recessional

Hi Everyone,

 

I need some help. Just wondering how long each of the folllowing ceremonial elements take so I can time my music appropriately:

 

Prelude

Processional (Best Man & MOH)

Processional (Bride & Father)

Signing

Recessional

Postlude -does this exist?

 

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I;m wondering the same question...hopefully someone can help us out!

I think part of this depends on how far people have to walk.....if you know, I would practice walking this distance to get an idea.

All my WC told me was to pick five songs for the following:

First song: For the processional

Second song: For the bride walking down the aisle

Third song: For the couple during signatures of certificates.

Fourth song: The moment of pronouncement Husband and Wife from Justice of the Peace, Minister or Father.

Fifth song: For the walking out.

I think it depends on how many people you have walking and how far you have to walk. I dont think this can be decided before hand. I think your wedding coordinater should be able to help out and switch songs (fading in adn out) when needed.
