Azul Fives Brides

Curious to know if anyone has their wedding booked at Azul Fives, from what I have read they do not sound as though they are opening until 2010?

 

Any information anyone has would be greatly appreciated!

I originally wanted my wedding there, but they pushed back the grand opening until November, and I wasn't willing to take the chances. It looks amazing though.

They do seem like great resorts! I also havent found much information on Azul Beach Hotel, seems as most have chosen Azul Sensatori? Have either of you heard anything feedback? I did a search of trip advisor and surprisingly there are VERY poor reviews on Sensatori overall feedback is 3.5 Stars, whereas Azul Beach got much more praise and was rated at 4.5. Recent traveller's (Just this past Aug) have not too many nice things to say about Sensatori which I found surprising, "looks" like a nice resort, which is one thing they said...dont get lured in??

 

I'll keep searching...are you ladies still narrowing down your resort selection, or have you decided on a few?

I am getting married at the El Dorado Royale. It is owned by the same company that owns the Azul resorts. The El Dorado resorts are adult only. I have never been to the Royale but FI and I went to Mexico in January and stayed at the El Dorado Seaside - we actually got engaged there. It was the beautiful resort and fantastic service that made us pick another Karisma resort for our wedding.

We live by the Azul Fives and I would not count on the place opening. There is a big fight over who owns the property going on and I don't think it will get resolved. Karisma is simply managing the hotel at the Fives and they are waiting for the ownership issue to be resolved.

 

I haven't ben to Azul Sensatori but I have shot videos at Azul Beach and it is one of my favorites. It's a great location for your wedding. Beware of the $500 outside vendor fee imposed by Karisma at their hotels, although they do have a list of approved vendors that the fee is waived for.

I was getting the same impression. My travel agent recommended Beaches and said that the Fives was having issues and it would probably be more of a headache. I've also read the semi-negative reviews of Sensatori. I wonder if it's just because it's a bigger resort...?

 

I am hoping to book at Beaches soon. We'll see.

I am getting married at Azul Beach. There are not so many ppl getting married there b/c its so small - but thats what I wanted. I googled the hotel name and wedding so many times and it looks awesome. They do not negoitiate prices though, so make sure you haggle before signing the contract and lock into one of the specials. Weddings right now are free with 5 rooms. Good luck

I inquired about the resort's availability & I heard back from the Azul Wedding planners. I asked about Azul Fives and she told me they are not accepting reservations at this time. I don't think they have a definite opening plan with economy being the way it is. I do know that Azul is willing to match/beat any other prices or deals out there. They really want the business.

Great information everyone...thanks so much for posting! I have seen the promotions currently being offered....trying to narrow things down.

 

Kacelb thats great to hear...on the Sensatori forum it sounds like a few girls were thinking of moving there weddings as they didn't get a good vibe??
