"Tacky" Bridesmaid Dress (theme) for Stagette!!

I am sooooo excited about my upcoming bridal shower and stagette!!

 

It's a week away and the girls have done such an amazing job at planning it!! One little secret about me is that I am all about the THEME of a party...and these girls totally nailed it!! We're doing tacky bridesmaid dresses!! Another little secret about me is that I save EVERYTHING...so I have a box of dresses going back to 1988

 

A few girls came over tonight to try on dresses and it was hilarious!! I can't wait...it's going to be a great time!! I will keep you all posted...and definitely post the pictures...

OH my gosh, I cannot WAIT to see these photos! I heart theme parties! I don't have a pic, but my worst bridesmaids dress: picture this: floor length, LONG sleeve, EMERALD green, SATIN with crochety lace on the neckline, a pointed waistline, and kind of FULL skirt!!!! I am only 5'2". I felt like part of the Wizard of Oz cast.... HORRIBLE!

That sounds like so much fun! A friend of mine did that. She even wore a big pouffy 80's wedding dress with the hat/veil combo.

 

The party ended up being featured in the local paper!
