I Need Wording Help...

Thanks everyone, the good thing is the wedding wasn't until July 2010 and no one has began to actually book anything.

Sorry you are dealing with this... I don't know your reasons, but it sounds like you are upset about not being able to include your family and friends in your "dream" wedding - maybe you can find a way to include people if you change around your wedding plans.. like if you were going to have it at an all-inclusive, just go with the included package and have dinner together at a regular included restaurant - you can stick with the basics and hopefully it won't be more expensive than having it just the 2 of you..

If this isn't it and you really have to do this, try to tell people soon so they don't book anything.. good luck

Well the plot now thickens, since I must cancel the room block at the hotel I now owe them about 2K as the cancellation fee, so now we are thinking about just pushing the wedding to 2012. I didn't want to wait so long to have the wedding, because I have basically planned two completely different weddings since our engagement in May...LOL

 

Who knows how many other changes I will come up with by 2012.

 

On the other hand, I won't have much more to do in terms of planning and we would have the opportunity to have a really nice destination wedding.

I'm currently working with my familiy members to change a family event to next year so I can have the wedding in July 2011.

Yay!!!! Glad to hear it! I know that there have been a bunch of brides married in PR. Check their review and planning threads until you find a good recommendation for a WC.
