Cake knife and server

This is probably a stupid question, but is it OK to bring a knife and server for your cake as long as it's in your checked luggage? Obviously I know you can't put it in your carry-on!!

Sure that's not a problem, well as far as I know anyway. Maybe you can call the airline to be extra certain but I don't see why not.

Speaking of cake knife and server, theirs a really cute set at Pottery Barn.. (I was there yesterday looking for frames)
