That is really not cool. Personally, I shun people who shun me and it makes me feel a lot better that I have one less useless person to deal with. Not everyone is like me though :P

I am sorry you are having to deal with this. It would be interesting to know why she blocked you on FB though. Something is up.

hey..i could SORTA under ur SIL.... let me explain why;

I wanted to do the same, the day I get pregnant and give bith that is..lol.....BECAUSE my in laws are a little too much, and I would want the birth to be about us as a couple and the baby, i dont want any stress than i will already have that day...I already told them I would not want anyone in the hospital and that i would call them once we are home and a little rested..... because once you start allowing people to come over to see the baby, it does not stop, EVERYONE wants to see the baby and its normal, and you want everyone to meet the new born as well.. but the baby will not change much within a week after birth.....and it gives the couple time to enjoy their baby and rest a little and get use to having a baby at the same time and be able to greet the guests right....

So, I can only speak for ourselves... but that is my reasoning, fiance does not agree though, he wants a party in the room, which is cute and I get that. but he wont be the one in extreme pain! so he is beginning to understand my reasoning..its not to hurt anyone or to push people away

does that make sense?

I totally understand where you're coming from.

Here is the crazy thing. She was born in August and only my hubby's mum was allowed to see her until she was 3 months old!! That is the part I'm finding is a little nuts. It's now January and DH and I are still not allowed to see that baby. Crazy lady and she is now making my BIL a crazy man.

On the bright side my sisters both had babies this year and DH's sister had one on 12/21. Gotta love all the babies around.

I'm not missing out on Amalie at all. As far as I'm concerned her parents can get stuffed.

I'm sorry Keira I think its horrible.

I have had two and I think its completly rude and disgusting.

Alot of people have problems with their inlaws. The things I went through with my mother in law ( she is great now) was so bad that alot of people did not know why I talked to her. I would NEVER keep her away from her. Its not fair on the baby. No matter what crazy lady has a problem with its not the babies fault. She has a right to know all of you. What I find more sad is the fact that you all want to see her and she is still keeping you all away. She should be grateful so many people want to love her!

I don't understand what is up with your BIL. I know a situation very similar! I just don't get how he can deny is family of something he must be so proud of. To delete and block you on facebook? I think thats more of a slap in the face. Not only can you not see her in person your not allowed to see pictures of her on facebook? I seriously don't know how some people sleep at night.

She is a sweetheart! I hope it all gets worked out somehow!

Thanks ladies.

I personally think that she is alot coo coo.

Holly, I'm gonna go with she is the most ungratful person ever. Even at her baby shower(which BIL sister Christine put together and paid over $200 for) she threw a fit. She was all mad that BIL was helping my 2 year old niece get a balloon to play with. Oh and she never said thank you and ended up getting a ride home with one of the guests because she didn't want to be near her hubby.

Oh man, I could go on for hours about all the stupid, selfish crap this chick pulls. I really do think she needs medical help.

She reminds me of my uncle's wife. About 7-8 years ago, when my cousins were around 10 and 12 years old, there was some family drama mostly caused by this aunt. Things didn't go her way, so she has decided to completely cut contact with all of our family. Even my dad's sister (the uncle is my dad's brother), who tried to stay neutral through all of this, was returned birthday cards she had sent to the kids. This uncle is actually my godfather, but I didn't even get so much as a "congrats" the day of my previous wedding, even though I used to leave right next door to him (of course they did not come, they were "too tired"). They even sued my grandpa (my uncle's dad!!) for some silly reason!

Some people are just nuts in the head, and it's better for us not to stress over them...
