Best Varadero destination for wedding- with kids?

Hi!

I'm wondering, based on your research and experience, what is the best resort for a wedding in Varadero ?

I know think about Varadero as I know that some of my guests could think Melia Las Dunas (as a comparison) is far from activities,shopping, excursions.

My criterias are:

-Acceptance of kids - my own, 2 and 5 (and basic activities for them)

-Beautiful beach...if possible.

-Great choices of a la carte restaurant

-Less than 1800$/week for the stay

My nephews are similar age to your kids, so I've been focusing on Iberostar Varadero, Iberostar Laguna Azul & Tryp Peninsula as all of these have kids clubs. Melia Varadero is kid friendly but doesn't seem to have any kids club.

I'm sure there are others but these all made it to my short list.

We are staying at the Sirenis La Salinas. Our group includes kids from age 2 - 16. They have kids clubs for all ages and also offer various activities for all kids. They have 2 children pools and a beautiful beach. I don't think there is a bad section of beach in Varadero! They also have specail shows for the kids and get the kids to put on a show. There all plenty off family friendly resorts avaliable. Good luck

I will second Iberostar Varadero. Kids club and entertainment are just the best there.

Excursions are offered from every resort - basically the same ones.

Shopping - there is market in Varadero and mall close to the Melia.

I would definitely recommend Iberostar Varadero. I've stayed at a few Iberostar resorts, including this one, and they are by far the best when it comes to entertainment (especially when you have kids). The resort is beautiful and the beach was gorgeous. It is also quite close to the town of Varadero. I'm not sure about the price being under $1800 as it fluctuates depending on the time of year. I believe we only paid about $1500, but that was June last year. Good luck!
