I've been in that area the first week of december 2009. It was beautiful weather, great for laying on the beach, ocean was warm enough to swim, not many people in pools though. If you're really into the party vibe of Cancun you've got lots of great options. If you're wanting more laid back there are a lot of options south of Cancun in the Riviera Maya area. I'm getting married at Dreams Riviera Cancun on 11/27/2009. Good luck on all the planning.
