so not the typical staten island girl here, and I say that with so much pride. Did you girls look at any venues here before deciding on a DW wedding? My fiance and I looked at 2 places in long branch, nj. Where are you guys getting married? Were deciding on The Royal Cancun or The Royal Playa del carmen.

Hey everyone.......I'm Yonkers on the Bronx border.

We will most likely get married at the Royal in Cancun but have the cermony next door at the Gran Caribe in the new Catholic Chapel. I've stayed at the Royal twice before and LOVE IT!!! I'm actually going back in 2 weeks to see the new chapel and meet with vendors. If anyone needs me to get any info or take pics just let me know. I leave on 9-5-09.

hey hey hey, I get so happy when I see people from NY on this!

Brooklyn over here..congrats to everyone. I never looked at places here...didn't want to have the typical russo's on the bay & escalade limos type deal. As for picking a spot away..we actually went down for a week to the DR because we were told thats the cheapest 4 guests flying in from NY..so we went picked the place we loved and booked it.
