Both sets of our grandparents have passed as well as his dad and my aunt (who was like mom #2). I have decided to incorporate a poem into our program to honor them. Seeing a photo, IMO, may make others super sad and start to cry. So I figured with a poem it applies to all of the deceased family members and people can choose to read it then or at a later time.

Although you are not here for us to see

Through us, your love will live on and continue to be

To honor you, stories will be shared with family and friends

So the memory of you will go on to no end

We know that you are watching and smiling from above

You are sharing with us our expression of love

Continue to help guide us as we go on our way

As we become husband and wife on this special day
