You should get the unlimited if you have more than 75 nights. But this is only true if you have a written contract. I signed a contract with that information on it. I know others on this site is upset with Moon Palace because they are not honoring it but they do honor it if it is in a contract signed. Unfortunately, most of these people are using TA's that are not aware of the extras. So please be patient and see if MOon Palace will honor without contract. I hope others see this and know that you must have everything in writing beforehand then there will be no confusion. Good luck...

That was (is) my problem. I did book with a TA . I insisted that I wanted these incentives in writing should I meet the booking requirement. But because it was a MP promo - my TA wouldn't list it in their group contract and the only contract I have with MP is my wedding contract . MP advised they're not able to change their wedding contract as it is a legal document and could't add anything to it. I went back and forth with my TA and Miami officials. Although I never did receive a promise of these offers, it was conveyed to me by more than one official , that as long as you have a group contract (thru MP or your TA) you will receive the booking incentives as advertised thru MP.

Hope this holds true !

Default Traveling with Freeze dried petalshuh.gif

Okay my question is for anyone that has traveled with Freeze dried petals. Have you be aloud to go thur customs with they or do they count that as a plant? I am not sure how this would work since it is just the petals. Another would be how well did the petals hold up? Any information would be great!!

thanks!

Word of advice for all.. whatever is said...like 75 days in total free whatever.... make sure it is put into writing before you sign any contract. I believe someone on here had a problem with that.

My fiance and I are waiting b4 we block any rooms that everything will be included that needs to be included etc etc.

I am 6 months away.. Bridesmaid Dresses have been ordered.. Invitations are still being worked on ( I need to kick my fiance's ass =) to move on them )...Now I am interested in table setting...does anyone have pictures of outdoor table receptions??

At this point..I do not know what else I can be doing..

My dress is coming in sometime in Feb. I honestly cannot rem. how my dress looks like or even how I looked like in it =( (a little nervous)

I need to start looking for shoes- any suggestions on where to go??!?!

Who is getting married July 19? Anyone else in July?

Can any of you confirm MP's incentives? I received something from the Miami office in the early stages of research indicating below:

The Hotel agrees to provide one complimentary Cocktail after ceremony with 10 to 19 rooms paid nightly for 3 nights or 30 room nights. Should the group require additional functions there will be a surcharge of $15.00 USD per person, per event.

· The Hotel agrees to provide one upgrade to a complimentary private function plus 4 complimentary nights for the bride and groom with 20 to 24 rooms paid nightly for 3 nights or 60 room nights. Complimentary nights have a $10.00 USD per person, per night, non-refundable charge for tips and gratuities applied. Should the group require additional functions there will be a surcharge of $15.00 USD per person, per event.

· The Hotel agrees to provide unlimited private functions plus 7 complimentary nights for the bride and groom with 25 rooms or more paid nightly for 3 nights or 75 room nights. Complimentary nights have a $10.00 USD per person, per night, non-refundable charge for tips and gratuities applied.

· The Hotel agrees to provide the bride and groom with a room upgrade for a minimum of 25 rooms paid nightly for 3 nights or 75 room nights, based on availability

ETC ETC....

Now... although I don't meet the room requirement (we'll probably have 12 rooms) but more like a total of 83 room nights.....does this mean I still get the unlimited functions??

I'm waiting for the WC to reply but I can't wait any longer :)

Ashnic is correct that normally it is written into the group contract.

this is the verbage from the palace resorts website:

Quote:
Group Benefits
We are happy to have you celebrating one of the most important days of your life with us, but we want to make your celebration even better. Palace Resorts is pleased to offer the happy couple with great incentives when booking a group with us*

10 to 19 rooms – complimentary cocktail for guests after ceremony *
20 to 24 rooms – complimentary private function + 4 free nights for bride & groom *
25 or more rooms – unlimited private functions + 7 free nights for bride & groom*

To request a wedding group proposal for 10 rooms or more, click here

* Free room and functions will be credited through a group contract. On-line bookings do not qualify. Certain restrictions apply.
when i have done a contract with palace resorts it is written into the contract.

I'm going to press my WC for something once I have my final head count. The way head office explained it is it's a standard offer and nothing needs to put in writing. It's not my TA's offer so I understand that's why it's not in their contract. If I purchased the pkg. directly from MP I would def. have requested it. 100% in writing but my group contract wasn't arranged that way. I just don't want the added stress - although I 've been given a verbal agreement - I don't want to have to worry about something changing once we get down there. So I will ask WC to arrange to have something forwarded to me either from MPP or Palace Resorts directly.

Indy- I am using a travel agent also, it was in fact put into my contract. The hotel will only discuss your wedding contract with you if you have contracted a travel agent. If i am not mistaking (and someone can chime in here if I am wrong) but the hotel draws up the contract between you and your agent. So your agent should have had it put in there, perhaps you can ask your agent for a amendment with the information added? Good luck!

Very interesting !! My TA doesn't seem like the one that likes to fight for anything for her clients. BIG DISAPPOINTMENT !!

I have sent Miami an email requesting some type of "correspondence" to indicate that I will receive these offers.

Will provide an update as soon as I hear.
