I'm getting married at the Moon Palace on Jan. 30, 2011 ... we have tons of stuff to bring down with us - welcome bags & the contents, table linens & chair sashes, centerpieces, favors, etc. - has anybody thought about shipping things down to the resort prior to their wedding?  I asked my WC if I could send her a few boxes prior to our arrival and she didn't want me to and referred me to some 3rd party shipping middleman but I automatically assumed his rates would be through the roof.  There is simply too much to pack in our suitcases or ask family & friends to bring down (I think its a huge imposition to have our guests haul our stuff down there) ...

Any thoughts?  Thanks!

the Venado Terrace is in the very top right corner of the map ... its on the border between Nizuc and Grand.  thats where we're having our reception at Jan 30 ... figured it was a little out of the way and not as many random people will be walking by, right on the beach and we're staying in Sunrise, so I wanted to get our guests out to a different part of the resort for a change of scenary.  our wedding is in the Bugambilias Gazebo.

I liked the Tucan Gazebo but didn't want a 10 mile walk from my room to the gazebo!

I think it's on their website that MP will not accept shipments for their guests. They don't want to be held responsible. Maybe you can find out how much your airline will charge for extra boxes?

 

Let us know what the rates are like.

Hi ladies.  I'm new to the thread.   I am getting married at MP on 10/1/2011.  I just got my contract information from my WC Janina Mendoza in Miami.   After reading some of the posts about the WC in Miami, I'm a little nervous about working one on one with her.   I have about 35 guests coming from the US and England.   I'm wondering if I should be working with a TA instead of direct with the resort.  

 

Any suggestions would be very welcome.   I still have a couple of days before I have to return the signed contract.
