And of course...it just got worse! Last night FI's truck blew a tire on the freeway on the way home. We went to get it this morning and of course we couldn't get the spare off, the spare from my truck wouldn't fit, so we wait on the side of the freeway for an hour and a half for a tow truck who we have to pay for now and apparently we have to buy 3 new tires. There goes another 350 bucks out of the wedding fund.

at least he didn't lose control of the truck when the tire blew? (trying to find a bright side in all this mess!)

This is very true lisa, thanks. He was able to get to the side of the freeway and no one took it or towed it when it was sitting there all night. The poor guy though, his truck has just about had it. Someone rear ended him a month ago and it's still drivable, just has a big dent in the back, and now this. It sucks to be buying brand new tires for an old truck with terrible gas mileage that has just about had it. We would be perfect candidates for Cash For Clunkers right now but we don't want to finance for a new car putting us further in debt and we don't have an extra few grand laying around.

Haha, my FI tells me the same thing when I'm about to break! He just looks at me so seriously and is like 'it's all gonna work out.' I'm like 'HOW? WE BOTH MANAGE OUR BUDGET! I KNOW WHAT WE HAVE'

I know how you feel, I just spent over $400 on an oil change and a replacement cup holder (I had to reach all the way to the passenger door to get my coffee every morning. I LOVE my car, but hate the upkeep costs, damn sports car!

I know how you feel... I really want to get eye laser surgery this year but can't seem to justify the cost, given the wedding and all. And there's always something that comes up!

just focus on whats important to you. Like for instance with myself i know that the photos and DJ are important to me so I will splurge on that stuff and skip out on something like say maybe a fancy cake or chair bows!

 

Or is this is an option push your wedding back another year to give yourselve time to pay for the wedding you actually want!
