Krista-- I swear your hospital is full of vampires because they are trying to delete your blood supply! I do the same thing I need to change something. I usually get a hair cut or redecorate an entire room or something! We had names picked out before we even concived but we are keeping them under lock and key until the baby is born... its the one secret that I am not letting out (its killing me and I still have 6 months left)!!

 

Krista- 1 month and 8 days... on my goodness you are getting so close!!! How exciting!! I am feeling pretty good, still have to eat within 20 minutes of waking up, but otherwise feeling ok.

 

Susie- I would so label a chair just for her and request that nobody sit there incase her highass oooppps i mean heiness needs somewhere to sit. lol

 

I hope everyone had a great Memorial Day weekend. I was sick on Friday night, played in a kickball tournament on sat all day, was super sick on Sat night (to hot and got dehydrated), sunday I went boating, Monday shopping! What a great weekend!

I'm glad to hear that you are doing well ladies!!! Krista - I hope you get good news from the doc and can start trying again! I understand the feeling of everyone else being pregnant. I would really like to have a baby too, but I just can't do it right now with school, finances, not having a house, etc. so I have to be patient. Don't worry it will be your time soon!!!

 

Brooke - I'm getting so excited! All the Mexico planning is done, but the AHR is causing me all kinds of headaches! There's so much to do - which makes me really angry - because this is not what I wanted - I wanted a simple destination wedding! Now I'm dreaming/nightmaring about chair covers, tableclothes, cups, catering, decorations, speeches, alcohol, cake, etc. My small, intimate BBQ when we got back has turned into a full blown reception, except rather than paying someone to do it and/or organize it, we are doing it all ourselves!!! UGH!

 

Sorry, that's my rant. S and I were talking about it last night so it's fresh in my mind. I was asking him, "how did our small intimate backyard BBQ turn into a second wedding/reception with speeches, food, dancing, etc?"

Hi, fellow February (and July) brides! I know I've been MIA from this thread for awhile.

 

Krista, I totally hear you about the AHR stress! We are having ours this weekend and a few days ago I nearly lost it talking to my hubby, shouting "I'm so sick of planning!" I just want to relax and have fun with friends and family, not worry about caterers, tent rentals, booze, etc. We also still have an AHR back in Michigan (where I'm from) in July, but luckily my aunt is hosting, so the prep work is minimal for me.

 

I have not been spreading this around too much, but I thought I'd share with you ladies... You can add me to the list of February brides who are now expecting! I am 11 weeks right now and seem to be experiencing what the other mommies-to-be are. Hubby and I started trying right after the wedding, and I was a little surprised how quickly it happened.

 

Guess I better get back to work (which is very hard on focus on these days).

YAY!!!! Another February bride baby!!! That's awesome news!!! Congratulations and try not to stress about the AHR planning, as S said to me, just relax, don't overthink stuff, and everything will work out.

Teshy! Congrats!! That is really exciting! You're due date should be 2 weeks after mine!!! Are you having fun with the Nausea, Morning (all day sometimes) sickness? I broke down and bought maternity pants today cause my work dress pants were all to small in the waist. Are people going to know at the AHR? That were we announced ours at the end of the night after it was winding down. Keep us informed and your wedding picture is adorable!

Teshy- Wow! Congratulations! I would agree on the feeling of how quickly it happened. One of the first things out of my mouth when we found out a month after getting married was "sorry babe, we didn't get much of a honeymoon!" But it has been wonderful with ups and downs and all!

 

Krista H- I totally understand the need for change when things are tough. I have to say a haircut is always a fun way to do so! I am happy to hear things are getting better and that your health is good. Also, I don't think it is unusual that you are "hyper-aware" of pregnancies, we all are once you get pregnant. It is the top thing on your mind and it totally makes sense.

 

Susie-I think I need you to touch my belly and let us know! I can not wait to find out if it is a boy or girl. I think that it is a girl, I have thought so since I was first pregnant. Hubby hopes its a boy, but I told him to get prepared for a little girl! We will find out on June 18th as long as he she isn't as stubborn as either of his/her parents and keep their legs closed:) Oh, and I will message you my address, I hadn't been on here in awhile and forgot.

 

KRista B- I can't believe how close it is getting! I am getting so excited for you and looking forward to pics. How ridiculous and I living vicariously looking through everyones photos, not just mine, over and over again And as far as your AHR, sorry it is getting so hectic. It will definitely be something to look forward to when you get back.

Oh, Brooke, I was going to tell you that putting a hairband rubber extension on your regular pants and getting a "belly band" to cover gives you more time in your regular pants. I have had to do it for work too. I did buy two pairs of summer cotton pants that I can wear to work, but have been relying on the homemade extension and summer dresses with high waists!

I have my at home reception this weekend too.. very excited to get it over with and on with life without planning.

 

Ok you gals know there has to be a Susie story soon enough.... Mark and I were at a stripe mall here in town... I am in the dollar store and he had gone to the Deli... I am now outside waiting for him and I see him a far distance away talking to a man.. As I get closer I see it is his dad he is talking to.(Dad has been out of the picture since Mark was 15) I have met the dad twice at funerals.. Yup real piece of work... As I walk up to him and say hi, he leans over and hugs me (cold chills up my back) and he says Congrats Mark was telling me you guys just got married. Oh ok that's nice thanks... Ok then he says to me "when are you expecting"? Totally stupid "oh ah what?? expecting what? He was "oh parden me I thought you were expecting".... Ok seriously!!! I was close to murder in the first degree!!!! I told him to go buy a lottery ticket he had more chances of winning the Jackpot than getting a grandchild from me. Poor Mark, oh she is beeming isn't she... I totally smack him for than... we both laughed after because that has been his fathers way of totally demeaning woman his whole life. Mark and his brother are so different from him.... Mark told me he has done that many times knowing full well the woman was just heavier set and it was his way of embrassing her.Stupid SOB!!!

Susie- OMIGOD what a How random to just bump into him like that. How was mark after? I can't even begin to imagine what it must be like to be estranged from your dad. At least he has a great wife!! How are things going on the teenage front?

Life is going well over here. Eric and I are off to Boston for the weekend. I bought tix back in March to see Conan O'Brien's road show. Should be fun although he is not wanting to go. He haaaates traveling and now it looks like work is going to interfere too. Something about bringing along a laptop. Yay me.
